Hall of Fame
During his sophomore year, Tom Mashek '93 was a national qualifying member of the last Beuna Vista wrestling team to win the Iowa Conference championship. Two years later, Mashek reached the pinnacle of the league as an individual by winning the conference tide in the heavyweight division. He then garnered All-America honors for the second consecutive season by placing fourth at the national meet.
Mashek graduated with a 105-39 overall record and as the school's record holder for most falls in a single season and a career. He continued his wrestling career after college and won seven regional titles.
