Jennifer (Lange) Mavis '02 competed in both track & field and basketball. While competing during the outdoor track & field season for BVU all four years, she was a two-time All-American in the shot put, placing fifth in 2000 and eighth in 2002. Additionally, she claimed two Iowa Conference titles, winning the javelin in 2000 and then earning a championship in the shot put in 2001. To this day, she remains listed on the program’s current top-10 list in both shot put (third) and javelin throw (seventh).Â
Mavis was also a four-year member on the hardwood and was a career 50-percent shooter and still ranks in the top-15 all-time for BVU in field goal percentage, is sixth in total rebounds and fourth in blocked shots.
