Adams starred on the softball diamond for the Beavers as a first baseman/designated player and wa a four-time all-conference performer, two-time All-American, while starting for a team that captured back-to-back conference championships in both 1995 and 1996. Â In addition to her play on the field, she was recognized for her efforts off of it by being named a First Team CoSIDA Academic All-American as a senior, while also being named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All Academic Team all four years. Â She turned in one of the best single-seasons for a hitter in school history in 1998 when she finished her final campaign hitting .486 with 13 doubles, 11 home runs, 46 RBI and a slugging percentage of .924. Â Following the year, she was named First Team All-Region and was a First Team All-American selection. Â Adams currently resides in Fort Dodge with her husband Dan and three children: Jalen, Ty, and Cael. Â She has been head softball coach for Fort Dodge Senior High since 2000, while also teaching English/language arts since 2003.
