Mike Wiederin played on Coach Jim Hershberger’s first two Iowa Conference Championship teams (1972 and 1973), three times gaining All-Iowa Conference mention (first team as a sophomore and senior).

Wiederin was also a NAIA first team pick as a senior and a co-captain of the team in 1974. four as a member of the football team and three more in track.
