Jim Hershberger was a longtime football coach for the Beavers from 1970-1994. He amassed a sterling record of 121-61-1 and three league titles in his 20 seasons at the helm. Hershberger eschewed opportunities to climb the football ranks during his career, preferring instead to work with Beaver student-athletes in a winning program he and his assistant coaches molded. Hershberger also served as Buena Vista Director of Athletics for a number of years.
