Tailgating

The following policies have been developed for football tailgating at Buena Vista University. These points are provided for the best interest of health and safety of all.

Tailgating Area

The tailgating area is located in the grass field on the east side of J. Leslie Rollins Stadium/Peterson Field. On game days, signage will direct you to the tailgating area and a portable restroom available for use. Parking spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis. In the event of inclement weather and muddy conditions, tailgating will be located in Lot L across from the stadium.

Cost

Cost to enter the tailgating lot is $20 per car and $30 for recreational vehicles.

Tailgating hours

  1. The tailgating area is open three (3) hours prior to kickoff.
  2. Tailgating will end at the start of the contest and tailgaters are encouraged to leave the lot, support the Beavers and attend the contest.
  3. The tailgating area will close one (1) hour after the contest has finished.
