Forrest N. Gaffin '25 was a fullback on the Buena Vista football team and played for the basketball team. He played every scheduled game in in each sport for the final three years of his collegiate career.
In the 1922 football season, Gaffin made the drop kick that beat State Teachers 3-0. He made a 49-yard kick against Morningside in 1924 and kicked a 54-yard field goal against Columbus. After graduating from Buena Vista, he coached in Storm Lake before retiring to Oklahoma.
