Wayne Paige SL'58 was a member of the Beaver baseball team from 1955-58 and was part of the 1957 Iowa Conference Championship team.  He was a career . 261 hitter, while compiling a 14-9 career mark on the mound.  In 184 innings of work, he tallied 215 strikeouts and only 87 walks, en route to a career 2.05 ERA.  Upon graduating from Buena Vista, Paige was self-employed for many years in farm Real Estate Sales and other farm-related products.  He currently serves as a chairman for the Planning and Zoning in his hometown of Dike, Iowa, where he lives with his wife Marlene.  The couple have four children: Jack, Christie, Paul, and Thomas.
