Hall of Fame
Ralph Shriner '50 pitched for the Buena Vista baseball team under Coach Kenneth Blackman. He was an undefeated pitcher through four seasons, helping the Beavers win their first conference championship.
After graduating, Shriner played semi-pro baseball in Iowa and Minnesota. He then coached for the Rodman School District, where his team reached the substate finals twice. He also worked for the Sanborn and Estherville districts.
