Brad Rohwer was a four-year starter on the Buena Vista men’s basketball team for the late Jeff Spielman from 1987-91. He played in 22 games as a freshman, averaged 6.8ppg and 4.1rpg, and was voted as the team’s Most Improved Player. Over his final three collegiate campaigns, Rohwer went on to become a three-time team MVP and a two-year captain. He is currently ranked 7th all-time in BVU history with 1,525 career points, third in field-goal percentage at 61.7 percent, ninth in rebounding at 651 and seventh in steals with 133.
As a senior, he led the team in scoring at 19.0ppg and scored a career-high 495 points overall which still ranks 13th all-time in program history. He had a monster game that season when he poured in a career-best 38 points and grabbed 14 rebounds during the season-opener against Cornell College. Rohwer earned Second Team All-Conference accolades in each of his final three campaigns.
In 1993, Brad began work at Sports Rehab and Professional Therapy & Associates in Storm Lake where he eventually became an owner of the group in 1997.
