Lettering in three different sports while at Buena Vista, the most lucrative achievement for Susan Mingus SL ’85 was her membership on the 1984 NCAA Division III National Championship softball team. She was named to the NCAA Division III All-Tournament team and led her squad with 30 hits and 27 runs scored that season. Mingus also lettered two years in tennis and one year in swimming. Following her college career, Mingus coached softball for a few years and then joined the United States Navy. Currently, Mingus works for the Target Distribution Center in Cedar Falls.
