Gronau was a four-time letterwinner as a member of the Beaver women’s basketball team, as well as a two-time letterwinner on the softball team. While on the basketball court, she contributed to three Iowa Conference Championships, as well as a conference title in each of her two seasons on the softball diamond. In basketball, she was a three-time all-conference performer, including IIAC MVP honors as a junior, a year in which she helped guide BVU to the Sweet Sixteen of the NCAA tournament. She was also an Honorable Mention All-American as a junior and senior, and was also a nominee for NCAA Woman of the Year in 1998.

Gronau is currently eighth on the program’s all-time points list with 1,266, fifth in rebounds with 666, fifth in field goal percentage (54.3 percent), and third in defensive rebounds with 460. On the diamond, she was named to the NFCA All-Academic Team as a freshman and sophomore. Since graduation from BVU, she worked as an auditor/accountant for McGladrey and Pullen LLP in Des Moines from 1998-2003 before becoming a financial analyst for Wells Fargo Financial from 2003-2007. She is currently a senior financial analyst for Pioneer Hi-bred International in Des Moines – a post she has held since 2007. Gronau resides in Urbandale.
