Shelly (Barr) TerHark ‘86 played both volleyball and softball for the Beavers throughout her career (1982-86) and lettered four times in each. She saw most of her success on the volleyball court where she went on to become a two-time all-conference performer later in her career. After landing Second Team accolades as a junior, she was voted a First Team selection as a senior in 1985. During that season, she posted 641 assists, 50 kills, 22 ace serves and 81 digs while appearing in 38 total matches. She helped lead the team to a school-record 26 wins that season, a mark that still stands today. On the diamond, she was named Most Improved Player by her teammates and was a part of the 1984 national championship team. Shelley graduated with a bachelor of arts degree
