No Buena Vista softball pitcher confounded opponents the way Missy (Neblung) Kilbey '89 did. She held the batters she faced to a .177 batting average, the lowest in school history, while winning 49 games as a three-time all-conference hurler.
Kilbey, who was also a four-time letter winner on the volleyball team, pitched nearly every inning her senior season while leading the club to a third place finish at the NCAA National Tournament. She set an NCAA single-game record by striking out 12 batters in a tournament game.
