Most of Marc's success during his four years on campus came on the diamond. He was a four-time First Team All-IIAC performer and would earn Second Team All-American accolades by the American Baseballl Coaches Association in 1989. As a senior, he posted the third-highest single-season batting average in school history (.463). He finished his career ranked in the top-5 offensively in total bases (218), walks (72), on-base percentage (.487), hits (138), doubles (30), and RBI (92). He struck out just 42 times in 359 career at-bats. Marc Graduated with a bachelor's degree in physical education. He spend 10 years early in his career serving as a 4th grade teacher/coach in the Caroll Community School District. He was then the Director of the Buena Vista University Center in Denison, Iowa from 2003-07 and has since been the UNI/DMACC 2+2 Coordinator and faculty member.
