As a Buena Vista Beaver, Lanny Grigsby '60 played baseball, football and basketball. He received his diploma and Buena Vista teaching contract on the same day.
Grigsby spent over five decades teaching every type of math offered at Buena Vista, including algebra, trigonometry, and calculus to numerical analysis, and mathematica; as well as mechanics in physics, basic programming and theory of baseball.
In addition to his longtime teaching career, Grigsby served in several coaching positions for the Beavers, including football, baseball and basketball; winning a handful of conference titles.
