Julie Quirin '87, a star in four sports at Storm Lake High School, became a back-up catcher on Coach Marge Willadsen's 1984 Buena Vista softball team that won the NCAA Division III national championship. She started in centerfield the next three seasons. She was also a three-year starter at point guard on excellent BV women's basketball teams, and was the first female sports editor of The Tack.
