As a Buena Vista Beaver, Jerry Ibach '58 earned four letters in baseball, four letters in football and three letters in basketball. He led the Iowa conference in football during one season with 66 points and was named to the All Conference first team in 1956. He was also Associated Press and Williamson Rating System Little All-American honorable mention in 1957.
In basketball he scored 1036 points and was the first Beaver to reach the 1000-point milestone. In baseball, Ibach's pitching helped the team win fourth in the NAIA National tournament in Alpine, Texas.
