Clark Boggess '31 was on the football and track teams for all four years of his collegiate career. In 1930 he was co-captain of the football team and in 1931 captain of the track team. Boggess tied for first in the 100-yard dash at the Drake Relays (9.9 seconds) and was the sole winner of the 100-yard dash at the Wayne State Relays (9.8 seconds).
After graduation, Boggess served in the War Department under the education division, and worked for the Quaker Oats Company. He coached at Sutherland, Corning, and Plattsmoth, Neb. In 1953 he became the Director of Personnel at the Stockton Unified School District in California.
