Hall of Fame
Christensen was a four-time letterwinner for the Beaver wrestling
team under coach Baxter, compiling a school record 151 wins. He’s
also third on the single-season wins list with 44 as a sophomore.
He was a three-time Iowa Conference Champion and a four-time
national qualifier – placing third as a senior. He still holds the school
record for career technical falls with 54 and wins as a freshman with
38. in addition, he helped guide the team to an Iowa Conference
Championship as a freshman, marking the program’s last conference
title. Since graduating from BVU, Christensen has held multiple
sales positions, including his current position working with medical sales through Tri-State
Centurion out of Howell, mich. Aside from his employment, he also performed stand-upcomedy professionally from 1994-96 and has coached youth wrestling. He and his wife Gale reside in Clive and have three children: Thurman, Koufax, and Carew.
