Women' Soccer Battles to 0-0 Tie against Dakota Wesleyan

STORM LAKE, Iowa (Sept. 2, 2025) - The Buena Vista women's soccer team remained home to continue its schedule on Tuesday night hosting Dakota Wesleyan, and the two teams played to a defensive battle which resulted in a 0-0 tie.

The two teams combined for only seven total shots over the first half of play, but neither offense was able to find the back of the net. Dakota Wesleyan turned in 16 shots in the second half but BVU sophomore keeper Maia Jaroch made a number of incredible saves to keep the scoresheet clean. Jaroch finished the game with a career-high 17 saves and her first shutout of the year.

Junior Hailey Chambers had three of BVU's four shots in the contest, including the only two attempts on-goal. Hannah Patrucci chalked up five shots to lead the Tigers (1-1).

BVU is now 2-0-1 on the year and looks to remain unbeaten when it hosts Minnesota-Morris on Saturday after for a 1 p.m. kickoff.
