STORM LAKE, Iowa (Nov. 20, 2024) - The Buena Vista University women's and men's soccer teams combined for nine selections to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Teams announced on Tuesday.
To be eligible, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore in both academic and athletic standing and maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.50 on a 4.0 scale. For soccer, the student-athlete must also appear in at least 90 percent of the teams games played for the year or have started at least 66 percent. A maximum of six individuals could be nominated for each gender.
On the women's side for BVU, a total of six student-athletes were named to the team. That list includes:
- Brooklyn Bergum
- Hailey Chambers
- Chloe Lippert
- Mia Norton
- Trisha Westphal
- Jaylin Woodward
Chloe Lippert was also selected as a CSC Academic All-America® finalist and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced December 11, 2024.
The men's list for the Beavers includes:
- Jacob Adams
- Jacob Kirchner
- Aiden O'Flaherty
A total of 89 combined student-athletes from the American Rivers Conference were recognized on the teams.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
