It was a strong field of teams and golfers which is a good test for the Beavers before they go into next weekend's A-R-C Championships. The top two schools broke 300 on the day, led by a 296 from the host Gusties. A total of 10 schools ended their days with a 310 or better. BVU is only two shots back of Macalester.
The field consists of 97 total golfers and 27 of them shot five-over par or lower on their round. The clubhouse leader is UW-Eau Claire's Spencer Lynh who carded an even-par round of 71.
Sunday's final 18 holes are scheduled to get underway at 9 a.m.
