STORM LAKE, Iowa (Sept. 8, 2025) - Buena Vista junior goalkeeper Zachary Sigler has been named the American Rivers Conference Men's Soccer Defensive Performer of the Week, for the period ending on Sunday, Sept. 7.

Sigler recorded his second shutout of the season on Saturday afternoon with the Beavers 1-0 home victory over visiting Minnesota-Morris. In the contest, he tallied a season-high four saves and faced only nine total shots.

Through the first three matches of the year combined, Sigler has allowed only one goal and has played all 270 minutes in-goal. He now has three shutouts in his career.

It marks the first time that Sigler has earned such honor in his career. He's also the first BVU men's soccer player to be recognized since Kendall Bickford on Sept. 3, 2024.

Buena Vista improves to 2-1 on the year and will go after back-to-back wins when it hosts Mount Marty University on Wednesday, Sept. 10 at 7:30 p.m.
