STORM LAKE, Iowa (Sept. 6, 2025) - The Buena Vista men's soccer team was back in action for the first time in over a week when it hosted the University of Minnesota-Morris on Saturday afternoon and went on to pick up a thrilling 1-0 non-conference shutout over the Cougars for its second win of the year.

It was a back-and-forth defensive battle from start to finish. Both teams had four shots in the second half before BVU found a way to pick up the attack a touch more in the second and finish with a 13-9 advantage. The most important of those shots came off the leg of freshman Cesar De Leon, who turned in his first collegiate goal off a stellar pass from Canton Nadermann just seven minutes into the second half.
