WAVERLY, Iowa (Sept. 7, 2025) - It turned out to be a much stronger final day of play for the Buena Vista women's golf team at the Wartburg College Fall Invite that wrapped up on Sunday, as the Beavers were 20 strokes lower and moved up two spots in the team standings to come in 16th overall.
Senior
Hailey Bistodeau had the biggest round for BVU, bouncing back from an opening round 87 to move up 46 spots in the standings with a season-low round of 76 that included a pair of birdies and 10 pars. Fellow senior
Brooke Stellmaker carded a solid round of 81 that included a birdie on the par-4 17th hole and finished one shot ahead of Bistodeau and in a tie for 35th.
Noelle Hammand (86) and
Joie Christensen (89) rounded out the final two scorers for the Beavers as Christensen moved up four spots in the final standings.
BVU finished with a 36-hole score of 684 and was just two shots back of Simpson College for 15th. UW-Stout had the biggest round of the tournament to close with a 294 and rally back to finish in a tie with the University of Dubuque at 607. Grinnell College was third at 621.
Next up for the Beavers will be the Loras College Invitational on Sept. 14-15 at the Meadows Golf Course in Asbury, Iowa.Â
