CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (Feb. 28, 2025) - The Buena Vista University men's wrestling team saw its season come to an end on Friday during the opening day of the NCAA DIII Region VI Tournament being held inside of Alliant Energy Powerhouse.

In each weight class, the top-3 indivudual finishers advance to the NCAA DIII National Tournament.

The lone victory on the day for the Beavers came at 184 pounds with Trevor Kruse picking up a fall in 1:08 over Schreiner's Henry Kubelka. Kruse, however, would then lose by fall in the second round of consolations to end his first season in blue and gold.

Wartburg College is leading the way in the team race heading into Saturday's final day with 104.5 points. Loras College is second with 87 points as Coe College is close behind in third with 82 points.
