Carleton had led 50-48 at the 12:34 mark of the second half before junior Carter Sievers made the first of four straight three-point shots for the Beavers. He also had four made free-throws sandwiched in throughout, but those 16 straight points gave BVU a 64-62 advantage. Sternberg then made a layup followed by a Sievers jumper and BVU led by six. After the Knights had cut the deficit back down to four, Jackson Jones followed with a pair of free-throws and his layup that led to the team's largest lead.
Sievers finished the game making a career-high five three-point buckets and finishing with a season-high 27 points. He was 5-of-8 from downtown and made all six free-throws. He also grabbed six rebounds, two steals and one block. Jones was 4-of-9 shooting despite going only 1-of-6 from beyond the arc but did make all four at the charity stripe to finish with 13 points.
Bryte was held to only eight points but grabbed a team-leading seven rebounds and tied sophomore Jayden Brink with three assists.
