12/15/2025 4:15:00 PM

STORM LAKE, Iowa (Dec. 15, 2025) - The American Rivers Conference announced its weekly Performers of the Week on Monday afternoon, and Buena Vista University sophomore Jayden Brink has been named the A-R-C Men's Basketball Performer of the Week for the period ending Dec. 14.

This marks the second time in the last three weeks that Brink has earned the weekly accolade. He was last named Male Athlete of the Week on Dec. 1.

Brink and the Beavers were in action only once this past week and that was a tough 86-76 road loss at Simpson College on Saturday, Dec. 14. Despite the setback, the sophomore came out and turned in yet another stellar performance on the court against the Storm. He finished with a game-high 27 points on 7-of-12 shooting, including a 4-of-8 effort from downtown, and made a career-best 9-of-10 at the free-throw line. It marks his second straight 27-point outing and was his fifth 20-point game over the last six since being inserted into the team's starting line-up.

He is shooting over 45 percent from downtown (11-of-24), and his 11 makes are tied for most in the A-R-C. His 19 made free-throws are also most by any player in the league, and he's sixth in overall free-throw percentage at 86.4 percent (19-of-22).

Buena Vista is 5-3 on the year (1-2 A-R-C) and plays at North Central University (MN) (2-8) for a non-conference game on Tuesday, Dec. 16 at 5:30 p.m.
