DUBUQUE, Iowa (Oct. 4, 2025) - The Buena Vista women's soccer team faced a stiff test on Saturday evening by playing on the road at No. 19 Loras College and would go on to suffer a tough 5-0 loss inside of the Rock Bowl.
Loras (9-0-1 (2-0 A-R-C) got on the board with a goal just under seven minutes into play but the Beaver defense held them scoreless until late in the first half when the Duhawks found the back of the net with five minutes left to take a 2-0 halftime lead. It became a 3-0 margin midway through the second half before the Duhawks added on two goals over the final 15 minutes.
BVU was held to only one shot in the match while Loras took 35 overall with 16 on-goal.
Maia Jaroch went the distance in-goal for the Beavers and registered 11 total saves.
Buena Vista is now 3-7-1 (0-2 A-R-C) and hosts Coe College (2-6-3, 0-2 A-R-C) on Wednesday, Oct. 8, at 5 p.m. The Beavers earned a 2-1 victory over the Kohawks in Cedar Rapids last season which gave the team its first conference win since 2013.
