UW-River Falls Edges Women's Soccer 3-0

STORM LAKE, Iowa (Sept. 17, 2025) - The Buena Vista women's soccer team hosted UW-River Falls in a non-conference match on Wednesday night, but the Falcons were just too tough for the Beavers to slow down on the attack, as BVU was shutout by the final of 3-0.

UW-River Falls wasted no time taking control by scoring the first goal of the night less than four minutes into play. BVU tried to clear the ball out of Falcons territory but the ball fell at the feet of Ellie Ketcher, who was able to dribble a short distance before finding the lower left part of the net.

BVU tried to keep the defensive pressure on the Falcons (5-1) and managed to keep them away from the net until they doubled the score and made it 2-0 with five minutes left in the opening half. UW-RF finished the first half with 11 shots and went on to add 10 more in the second while Brooke McDaniel turned in the final score of the evening eight minutes into the second half.
