LAKE MILLS, Iowa (Sept. 29, 2025) - The Buena Vista women's golf team played its final tune-up round before the conference championships when it took part in the 18-hole Waldorf University Invite on Monday held at Rice Lake Golf & Country Club and came away with a runner-up finish after posting a 331.
Senior
Brooke Stellmaker was a runner-up on the individual side after a round of 77. She rebounded after going 4-over on the final three holes of the front nine with a one-over 35 on the final nine holes, including a birdie on the par-4 10th hole.
Fellow senior
Hailey Bistodeau was close behind after an 82 which included a pair of birdies.
Noelle Hamand and
Riley Haschke rounded out the scoring for the Beavers after carding an 84 and 88, respectively.
BVU finished 11 shots behind team champion, Simpson College, and eight shots clear of DMACC which took third. It marked the team's second straight runner-up finish on the year after taking second last weekend at the home BVU Invite. Stellmaker was one of two players to finish tied for second and both were only two strokes behind medalist, Megan Wilde, of DMACC.
A total of eight teams and 45 golfers made up the field.
Next up for the Beavers will be the American Rivers Conference Championships which take place from Oct. 11-13 at Glynn's Creek Golf Course in Long Grove, Iowa.
