Women's Golf Moves up to Finish Second at BVU Fall Invite

STORM LAKE, Iowa (Sept. 21, 2025) - The Buena Vista women's golf team climbed up one spot and would take runner-up as it closed out the annual BVU Fall Invite on Sunday afternoon out at the BVU Golf Course at Lake Creek.

BVU turned in a 335 and was in third after Saturday's opening round and came back with the low round of the day at 333 and moved up one spot to finish only two strokes behind Simpson College.

Senior Brooke Stellmaker turned in a solid weekend and capped it with an 81 over the final 18 holes on Sunday to place third overall. Noelle Hammand birdied her second-to-last hole of the day which was the par-4 eighth en route to a round of 82 and a ninth-place effort.

Riley Hascke and Ella Whited both carded final rounds of 85 and placed 13th and 18th, respectively. Senior Hailey Bistodeau came out and began with a solid round of 83 on Saturday but dipped to an 88 in her final competitive round on her home course and settled for a 14th place finish.

Stellmaker finished eight shots behind individual medalist Allie Pfantz of Central who fired rounds of 77 and 78 overall. 

Buena Vista will have a week off before it takes part in the Waldorf University Fall Challenge on Monday, Sept. 29. The event will take place at Rice Lake Golf and Country Club in Lake Mills, Iowa. The A-R-C Championships will follow on Oct. 11-13.
