Women's Golf Takes Fifth at Graceland Invite

MARYVILLE, Mo. (March 29, 2026) - The Buena Vista women's golf team wrapped up the 54-hole Graceland University Spring Invite yesterday at Mozingo Lake Golf Course and placed fifth overall among the nine competing teams.

Action began on Friday with BVU turning in a 383 and ending the round in fourth. Noelle Hamand and Riley Hascke led the way during the opening 18 holes with rounds of 95 as Brooke Stellmaker was one shot back after a 96 and Hanna Patrick carding a 97. Ella Whited rounded out the five-player line-up with a 101. Joie Christensen competed as an individual and ended with a 100.

The team came out on Saturday and shaved three strokes off of the round one total but dipped one spot in the overall team ranks. Mount Marty improved by 20 shots and leaped in front to take fourth.

Hamand closed out the event with a final round 92 to lead the way and came in 14th overall. Patrick was close behind in 22nd after her final round 94. Stellmaker carded a 96 while Haschke and Whited each ended with 98. Christensen had the best round of the weekend for the Beavers as she fired an 89 and took 19th overall.

Indian Hills Community College won the team title after a 54-hole score of 665. They were 44 strokes ahead of runner-up Clarke University.

Buena Vista will be back out on the course on April 10-11 at the Iowa Central Spring Invite held at Fort Dodge Country Club.
