CEDAR FALLS, Iowa (Sept. 6, 2026) - The Buena Vista women's golf team turned in a stellar round of 309 on Sunday during the final round of the A-R-C Preview / Kohawk Invitational and moved up two spots to take fourth overall.

Freshman Payton Hartman got her collegiate career off with an 11th place individual finish after rounds of 80 and 78. Fellow freshman Hannah Swanson was close behind in 16th after rounds of 83 and 76. 

Riley Haschke and Hannah Patrick rounded out the top four scorers by also marking final rounds in the 70's with a 76 and 79. The duo came in 25th and 20th, respectively.

Also competing for the Beavers on the weekend were Alex Wonder who rounded out the five-player line-up while Ella Whited and Rylee Zimmerman each competed as individuals.

BVU tallied a 36-hole score of 639 which was 20 shots back of third-place Dubuque and 21 behind co-champs Wartburg and Mount Mercy. The Beavers overtook both Simpson and Central on the final day. The final round 309 is the team's lowest single round in at least the last 20 years. The next closest since that time was 320 during the second round at the 2006 IIAC  Championships.

Next up for the team will be the Wartburg College Invite on Sept. 12-13 at Prairie Links in Waverly, Iowa.
