HAMPTON, Va. (Jan. 11, 2025) - The Buena Vista University wrestling team closed out the Virginia Duals on Saturday by facing St. Vincent but the Beavers came up short in its final dual of the trip, falling 42-11.

Tyler Japp got things started on a strong note for BVU with a strong 19-3 technical fall and Colton O'Hern ended things in convincing fashion with a quick 31 second fall for his third of the year

St. Vincent, however, took control in between those two matches by scoring bonus points in all eight.

Buena Vista is 1-6 on the year and travels to St. John's University (Minn.) on Saturday, Jan. 18, for a non-conference dual at 7 p.m. The team remains in Collegevillle, Minn., to take part in the North Country Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 19.
