ROCK ISLAND, Ill. (Nov. 16, 2024) - A total of 28 teams and more than 200 total runners embarked on Saukie Golf Course here Saturday morning for the 2024 NCAA Midwest Regional Championships. Sophomore Megan Bakke led Buena Vista with a 66th place finish with Karley Ruiz-Genovese in 86th as the Beavers placed 22nd as a team.

Bakke reached the finish line in 24:00.4 with Ruiz-Genovese close behind at 24:23.1. Takara Conley, Amber Altjes and Melody Flenker rounded out the line-up for the Beavers. Altjes posted a career-best time by nearly 15 seconds with her performance.

University of Chicago won the team race with 36 points with WashU coming in second with 82.

The race concludes the season for Buena Vista.
