INDIANOLA, Iowa (May 10, 2025) - Buena Vista sophomore Megan Bakke turned in a sixth place performance during the 800m finals on Saturday to highlight the final day of competition for the women's outdoor track & field team at the 2025 A-R-C Outdoor Track & Field Championships.

Bakke qualified eighth into the finals after posting a personal best time of 2:19 on Friday evening and then moved up and took sixth on the final day with a time of 2:24.57. Earlier in the afternoon, Bakke competed in the 1500-meter run and was clocked in a time of 4:49.60 and narrowly missed out scoring team points and setting a new personal best by just over a full second.

Ava Mills came through with a major personal best toss in the javelin by nearly five feet and placed 11th overall.

As a team, the Beavers totaled six points and came in ninth overall. Next up will be the Midwest Twilight Qualifier hosted by Augustana College (Ill.) on May 14.
