Dyersville, IA – This past weekend, the Buena Vista University Archery Team traveled to Plum Creek Archery in Dyersville to compete in the 2025 USA Archery Iowa State Indoor Championships. The team delivered an outstanding performance, bringing home multiple state titles and podium finishes.

Lee Houser set the tone for the weekend by claiming the title of State Champion in the Compound Senior Men Division. His victory was followed by a dominant showing from Kyler Edie, who secured the State Champion title in the Compound U21 (Junior) Men Division. Edie was joined on the podium by teammates Joe Knieper, who finished in second place, and Ethan Stemper, who took third, showcasing BVU's depth in the competition.

The BVU women continued the team's success with Madison Overby taking first place in the Compound Senior Women Division. She was joined by teammates Rosa Perrotti, who finished second, and Gracy Elsenbast, who secured third place. As the highest-finishing Iowa competitor, Perrotti was crowned the State Champion in the division, as Overby hails from out of state.

Kinzie Hagen wrapped up the team's success with a strong third-place finish in the Compound U21 (Junior) Women Division, adding another podium placement for BVU Archery.

The BVU Archery Team continues to make history in its third year, solidifying its place in Iowa collegiate archery. With strong performances across the board, the team looks forward to continuing its success in upcoming competitions.
