Walker started strong by knocking down three straight shots from downtown early in the second quarter and then adding an and-one moments later that put the Beavers up by 15 points at 34-19 with under six minutes to go in the opening half. Walker scored 14 of her 19 points in the opening half as she finished the game shooting 6-of-9 overall and 3-of-4 from long range. She also dished out five assists and chalked up three steals.

Krager also knocked  down a pair of three-point shots and was 5-of-8 from the field overall. She also grabbed five boards and matched Walker with three steals. BVU cooled off a bit from the field in the second half, making only nine total field goals and finishing the game shooting 45 percent overall. A free-throw from Walker followed by a three from Krager gave the Beavers their largest lead of the night at 48-29 coming out of the half. Grinnell kept battling and wouldn't go away, clawing its way back to within 48-40 but that was as close as it got.

Buena Vista closed the third quarter strong and took a 15-point advantage to the fourth quarter and maintained the double-digit lead  the rest of the way.
