STORM LAKE, Iowa (Aug. 5, 2026) - The Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) recently announced its 2025-26 Team Academic Top 25 Honor Roll with Buena Vista being named among the list of special mentions.

The WBCA Academic Top 25 recognizes college women’s basketball teams across the nation in their respective divisions that carry the highest combined GPAs inclusive of all student-athletes on their rosters for the entire season. A team must have a combined GPA of 3.0 or better and be nominated by its head coach who must be a member of the WBCA to be recognized. The 2025-26 season is the 31st in which the WBCA has compiled the honor rolls.

Buena Vista held a team GPA of 3.688 and has been listed among the group of special mention in both years under second-year head coach Kyle Boettcher. The Beavers were last among the top-25 in 2019-20 when it held the highest GPA in all of DIII.
