WATERLOO, Iowa (Apr. 6, 2024) - Having to battle through blustery conditions on Saturday, the Buena Vista men's golf team continued its spring season with the opening round of the Upper Iowa Invite being played at Sunnyside Country Club.

Cooper Sebastian turned in the low round for the Beavers with an 82 and is currently in a tie for 43rd. Matthew Turpen is tied for 52nd and just one shot behind Sebastian with Kaleb Sander two shots behind Sebastian and tied for 61st. Kaden Miller (87) and Mason Laven (90) round out the line-up.

As a team, BVU is in 14th place at 338 and sits four shots behind Bemidji State (C) at 334. The Bemidji State (A) team is the clubhouse leader at 310.

A total of 19 teams and 91 total golfers make up this week's field. Sunday's final round (weather permitting) is scheduled to tee-off at 10 a.m.
