MARYVILLE, Mo. (March 25, 2023) - The Buena Vista women's golf team is set to play a few spring events this season and that began over the weekend at the 36-hole Graceland University Invite which took place at the Mozingo Golf Course. A total of 10 teams made up the field, and BVU placed sixth overall with a 759.
The Beavers began on Friday with an overall round of 383 before improving to a 376 on Saturday.
Brooke Stellmaker helped lead the way with a 181 and a tie for 13th overall.
Hailey BistodeauĀ was close behind in a tie for 20th at 188.
Cara Kempadoo,
Naomi SchraderBacher, and
Emily Powers rounded out the line-up for the Beavers with
Lea Pederson taking part as an individual.
Bellevue University claimed the top team spot with a 653 and won by 30 strokes. Park University's LaetitiaĀ Solombrino was the individual medalist at 156 as she held on to win by one stroke.
Up next for the Beavers will be the Park University Spring Invite on April 2-4 in Parkville, Mo.
