GRAND RAPIDS, Minn. (Jan. 8, 2023) - The Buena Vista wrestling team was in action on Saturday for the first time this calendar year and the team finished sixth at the Northwood Duals, hosted by Itasca Community College.

BVU finished the day with a 1-3 overall dropping duals against Jamestown (39-15), Triton (49-0) and the Milwaukee School of Engineering (28-24). The team rolled to a 42-13 triumph over Northland College.

Brandon Foster and Garret Bruce each helped lead the way by going 3-1 on the day with each recording a fall while Bruce also posted a technical fall and won by forfeit. Max Mashek also chimed in with a pair of falls and went 2-2 overall.

Buena Vista is now 2-8 on the year and travels to Nebraska Wesleyan on Jan. 11 for an American Rivers Conference dual against the Prairie Wolves starting at 7 p.m.
