STORM LAKE, Iowa (Sept. 18, 2022) - The Buena Vista women's golf team played a pair of rounds on its home course over the weekend and walked away with a solid runner-up finish and a pair of top-10 individual finishers.

Cara Kempadoo turned in a final round and season-low score of 84 that pushed her up the leaderboard to ninth after opening with a 92 on Saturday. Brooke Stellmaker chalked up rounds of 88 and 89 and was one stroke behind in 10th place. Hailey Bistodeau added a 12th place finish with rounds of 87 and 93. Emily Powers and Katelyn Nielsen rounded out the BVU line-up and finished 17th and 20th, respectively.

BVU, which was in first following the first 18 holes on Saturday, shaved three strokes off that total but was overtaken for the top spot by Waldorf College which went 32 shots better over the final 18 holes. Nebraska Wesleyan and Simpson were two American Rivers Conference foes that had teams in the field and they were fourth and fifth overall.

Buena Vista is set to take part in the NWU Fall Invite next Saturday and Sunday down in Lincoln, Neb., for its final tune-up before the A-R-C Championships.
