WAVERLY, Iowa (Sept. 15, 2022) - The Buena Vista women's golf team returned to the course this past weekend for the Wartburg College Fall Invite. After a tough first day, the Beavers improved by 11 strokes and ended in 22nd place overall.

Brooke Stillmaker led BVU with an 87th place finish with rounds of 90 and 83, respectively. The 83 matches her final round score from the opening weekend when she went 86-83 at the Luther/Coe Invite. Emily Powers followed with rounds of 95 and 93, Cara Kempadoo shot 95-94 and Hailey Bistodeau at 97-96.  Katelyn Nielsen bounced back from a tough opening round 106 to card a 97 in the final round.

Illinois Wesleyan fired a final round 290 to win the team title by five shots over St. Catherine. Bethel University was third and just seven shots back.  IWU's Emma Thorman turned in a one-under final round 69 to win the individual medalist by three shots.

BVU continues its fall schedule by hosting the annual BVU Fall Invite out at the BVU Golf Course at Lake Creek this Saturday (Sept. 17) and Sunday (Sept. 18).
