DECORAH, Iowa (February 11, 2022) - The Buena Vista wrestling team closed out its American Rivers Conference road schedule on Friday night at Luther College but it was the Norse jumping out the early lead and never looked back en route ot a 28-10 victory over the Beavers.

The Norse came out with three straight decisions to start the night before BVU freshman Isaiah Schannep picked up his 19th win of the year with a strong 8-1 decision at 149 pounds.  Two matches later, junior 165-pounder earned a point of riding time to give him a 7-6 decision for his 15th triumph.  Graduate student Don Phillips II capped the scoring off for the Beavers at 197 pounds with bonus points by earning a 16-7 major decision and improve to 6-2 overall.

Buena Vista is now 1-12 overall this season and 0-7 in A-R-C duals.  The team will wrap up the conference slate on Wednesday, February 16, when it hosts Nebraska Wesleyan, in the annual Ballroom Brawl inside of the Grand Ballroom located in Siebens Forum starting at 7:00 p.m.
