STORM LAKE, Iowa (Dec. 8, 2022) - Buena Vista graduate student
Brandon Foster picked up his 10th win of the season to begin Wednesday night's American Rivers Conference dual against No. 16 Coe College, but that would be the only triumph for the Beavers on the night as the Kohawks picked up the 47-3 victory.
Foster scored three early takedowns to go in front 6-3 and was able to hold off Jaiden Moore down the stretch of the third period to win 9-7 and move to 10-4 overall this season to match senior
Axel Hernandez for the team lead in wins.
Coe would regain the lead after a technical fall at 133 and would not look back. Hernandez fell by a 12-4 major decision at 141 pounds while fellow senior
Garret Bruce was defeated by a 7-2 decision. Those proved to be the only other matches to go the distance.
The Kohawks improve to 1-3 on the year (1-1 A-R-C) while Buena Vista dips to 0-3 overall (0-2 A-R-C).
Up next for the Beavers will be the Prairie Wolf Duals, hosted by Nebraska Wesleyan, on Saturday, December 17. Action inside of Snyder Arena is set to begin at 10:00 a.m.
