ABOUT BUENA VISTA
The wrestling team for the Buena Vista Beavers faced a couple of hard challenges last Saturday. Central picked off an early lead 21-0 until once again sophomore
Garret Bruce managed to get things on the right track. Using his technical skill and ground game expertise, he outmaneuvered his opponent Levi Condy (CEN) to a 5-1 decision victory. Senior
Don Phillips II also had an impressive first match showing where he battled hard against Peyton Hammerich (CEN) and used his speed and explosiveness to hold on to a 5-2 Decision. While they would ultimately go on to lose the dual and get shut out by Wartburg in the next dual, Garret and Don continue to lead by example and wrestle hard no matter the opponent.

ABOUT COE
