STORM LAKE, Iowa (February 14, 2020) -Â The Beaver wrestling team closes out its conference schedule tonight, by hosting Luther College inside of Siebens Fieldhouse at 7 p.m.

The Beavers couldn't quite post the comeback against Simpson last Friday night, losing 24-16, in a dual held inside the Grand Ballroom. Senior
Collin Stilson had a big night, getting his 20
th win by pinning Robby Silva of Simpson with one second remaining in the second period.Â
Byron Fleming (125),
Diego Escarcega (184) and
Don Phillips II (197) also picked up victories. Six of the 10 matches wrestled were decided by two points or less.

About Luther
The Norse, ranked 19th in the latest DIII rankings, have won their last two duals for head coach Dave Mitchell, who is coaching his 24
th season. Their previous win came against #25 ranked Central winning (21-16). The Norse secured the win after trailing 16-12 entering the 197 bout. Donovan Corn pinned Gavin Babcock (2:37) to give the Norse a 18-16 lead. Keenan Feldpausch recorded a 3-2 decision win over Duncan Lee at 285 to secure the victory for Luther. Feldpausch now has 22 wins on the season leading the team. Also having a big year as a freshman is Donovan Corn, who has 16 wins on the season.

About Buena Vista
The Beavers nearly completed the comeback against the Storm last time out but falling to Simpson 24-16. The Beavers will be going for first conference win on the season as they host number 19 Luther.
Collin Stilson recorded his 20
th win on the season by pinning Robby Silva (4:59). Stilson leads the team in wins as well as he is 5-1 in conference duals on the season.
Byron Fleming also got his 19
th win on the season defeating Dylan McChesney 4-3. He is now 4-3 in conference duals on the season.
Don Phillips II recorded his 18
th win on the season defeating Sam Mathis of Simpson 9-7. Phillips is now 6-5 in dual meets on the season as well as 3-4 in conference duals.
